Project 1 Poster

The reason for the poster project was to show Frank Lagar's "essence" and what makes him who he is. Frank Lagar is very artistic especially when it comes to fine arts. He has a goal to become an ideal figure drawing artist that he can be. I made the steps with an arrow which is written in spanish first.  They are in spanish because what a lot of people don't know or don't realize is that Frank's nationality is 100% Cuban. The steps are a symbol of what Frank already has and what his goals are. He has a family, a wife, cats, a house, a career. He told me he was on a journey to pursue his career so the words career and visual are at the top because that is what he is working towards. When it comes to his career he wants to have a stronger visual sense of creativity while already having a strong audio sense. That would explain why he is in school so he can pursue his career in Graphic Design. The second part to this project that I came up with was the hand drawing. I decided on the hand because again Frank's main goal in life is to become the best artist he can be. He likes to draw and wants his drawing ability to be stronger. His favorite style of drawing is figure drawing with graphite pencil. So I drew the hand with the pencil which is at the top of the steps because that is his biggest goal.  The colors choices express Frank's personality. I used the gradient to show two different sides to the colors. The bright part of the orange and yellow express Frank's good sense of humor while the light colors express that he is an easy going, relaxed person.
