I chose to execute my logo in this manor because of the words used to describe the poster about me in the critique. The words used were "mathematical" and "geometric". Though I wouldn't describe myself as a very mathematical or geometric person, the execution of the logo did not pose much of a problem. At first I thought it might be a challenge, but it turned out to be a much more focused piece because of the limitations. I wanted to give a feel of geometry without losing any aesthetic value to the logo. By using the more squared typeface called "Bank Gothic" it automatically gave a mathematical feel to the name Hudson. The four squares at the end served as an icon that was also made up of all geometric shapes. Though most of the forms in the piece are geometric but almost nothing has a squared off edge. I did this because I wanted the flow of the name to not seem as cold. By having the rounded edges on the geometric forms, it gave the name a flow that could not be achieved with pointed edges.
